    New and extremely versatile

Printers Superstore is launching a new laser diecutting/engraving machine manufactured by Hans Gronhi. The machine is available in sheetfed SRA3 to SRA2 formats, roll-fed and as a hand fed machine.

The LC340 and LC660 use the latest in laser technology to deliver spectacular results on a huge range of substrates including a wide gamut of printing papers, self adhesive paper, card, plastics, aluminium and copper foils, and even leather and wood. The system can kiss-cut, cut, crease, perf and etch at high speeds, from single designs to many multiples per sheet -  from a one-off to 2500sph, or on roll-fed 1-60m/min.

  • New possibilities

With digitised die cutting, the limitations of traditional die cutting are removed and a wealth of new design possibilities are opened up, while saving both time and money. Spectacular and intricate designs are easy to set up and achieve in minutes. Cutting is amazingly quick and accurate, with built in automated optical tracking system for reliable precision. A user friendly interface ensures workflow integration and ease of use.

    Revolutionising die cutting

Printers Superstore Joint Managing Director Graham Moorby: “A combination of the equipment’s capability and their price point offers the potential to revolutionise die cutting. Whether customers have a direct requirement for die cutting or not, they will be really impressed to see the machinery in action, as it opens up a world of possibilities. No expensive dies have to be made, set up time is measured in minutes, and cost effective “one-offs” or single samples can be produced. Very intricate designs are also possible, which would be way too fine for a die – it really does open up a world of possibilities for the prospective purchaser.”

“The technology has to be seen to be believed and like all our machinery, pricing is sensible - this is an affordable and practical solution, ideal for today's commercial print marketplace.”

    More to come

Until now, Hans Gronhi has been known in the UK for bringing affordable quality to the litho print sector, gaining a significant market share in a relatively short time. Its rapid growth as a global press manufacturer was enhanced with its acquisition of Shinohara in 2011. More diversity can be expected from this ambitious company in future, according to Graham Moorby:

“The company is likely to impact on other markets too, as there is plenty more in Hans Gronhi’s R&D pipeline,” he says.
